Join us at a beautiful coastal retreat for a full-day watercolor experience where creativity meets nature. In Watercolor Wonders: Dramatic Skies, you’ll explore the expressive power of watercolor while learning to paint luminous skies and atmospheric landscapes.
This inspiring, relaxing day blends quality instruction, coastal beauty, artistic discovery. And knowing February, we may likely be motivated by the skies right outside the window!
On this day you’ll learn:
● Wet-on-wet watercolor techniques for skies and clouds
● Blending and glazing to create depth and light
● Composition tips for balancing sky and land
● Expressing mood and atmosphere through color
Founder of Coast Art House, instructor Jay Stieler is a local watercolor artist and instructor based in San Luis Obispo County. He specializes in land and seascapes, teaching students to capture mood and movement through this fluid medium. Jay’s workshops focus on confidence, creativity, and discovery, helping each artist develop their own voice through watercolor.
This workshop will take place at Camp Ocean Pines with possibly a mixture of inside and outside instruction. We recommend wearing layers, bringing sun protection, and sturdy shoes.
Workshop rate:
$130 - This includes all instruction, materials, and a delicious all-you-can-eat lunch provided by Camp Ocean Pines.
